Queenie F. Charles (b. 2001, Toulouse) is a multimedia artist, graphic designer && DJ, devoted to digital nostalgias, echoes and mis-uses. Their work delves into the realms of tactical media, post-internet aesthetics, and poelitical narratives, embracing curiousness. They are the organizer of H2A, a collective based in Toulouse they founded in 2022, whose main mission is to set up events in underground spaces to encourage the development of the new media arts landscape in the city of Toulouse, while promoting practice through low tech and lack of means to tackle technochauvinist thinking.
Most recently, they've presented their recent solo exhibition “[no subtitles or album art]”, exploring the unconventional role of subtitles in connecting auditory and visual elements.
As a designer, they collaborate will all kinds of labels and artists, mostly exploring electronic music, and worked with XL Recordings, Metalheadz, Critical Music, and Robert Henke (Monolake).
They also often DJ in various spaces, exploring UK bass genres like dubstep and jungle along with messy beats and post-club vibes. Known in their DJ scene for her swift genre transitions and rhythmic transformations, they captivate audiences from intimate venues like Le Sample, Paris to grander ones like Le Bikini.
(More simply, I wear multiple hats to do the things I love : tellings stories and making you dance)
